The Roll of Honour lists the names of those members of 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron, Auxiliary Air Force who made the supreme sacrifice in the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. Many listed are members of the Royal Air Forces, Commonwealth and Allied Air Forces who flew under the banner of 'The Crossed Lion ' thus they are our brothers.

Westhampnett. He was at 33,000 feet when he was attacked by Me109. He was too low when he baled out and his parachute did not deploy.

RAF Kenley. On practice Cloud Flying. Crashed at Titsey Hill which was covered in low cloud. He was killed with Sgt. Burke RCAF.

Redhill. On Ramrod 33. Shot down into sea off Cap Gris Nez.Seen in sea without dinghy. Plt.Off.Dennehey threw his dinghy to him but he could not reach it. Picked up dead by HSL of Air Sea Rescue.

RAF Kenley. Set course to Cap Gris Nez and St. Inglevert. Terrific dog fight with 40 to 50 FW 190 aircraft. Reported 'Missing'.
Rudolf Ptacek was a native of Czechoslovakia who had already escaped from France after being shot down.
